Challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, or relationship difficulties, however painful, allow us to look more deeply at ourselves and find new solutions. There are times when we may need to feel extra support, and when an outside view helps us to gain clarity and insight. At other times, we may want a guide to help us dig deeper into past issues in order to understand and change the patterns and habits that keep us from living the kind of fulfilling lives we so desire. I believe that a safe, secure, and non-judgmental therapeutic presence inspires greater curiosity and compassion toward ourselves, so that we can begin to gain insight into our behaviors and make the kinds of changes that lead to greater happiness and more fulfilling relationships with ourselves and others. For more than fifteen years, I have been working with individuals, couples, and adolescents as a psychotherapist. Some of the skills that I bring to the therapeutic relationship are: a deep care and compassion for the struggles and difficulties that clients face, a great respect for each person's unique path, a keen interest in the workings of the psyche, and an unshakable belief in everyone's capacity for growth and wholeness. I believe that the disruptions and struggles we encounter can be true opportunities for making valuable changes in our lives. You may need short-term support to learn tools for specific situations. Or you may want to dig more deeply into the unconscious motivations that have shaped your patterns of relating. We will work together to accomplish the goals you choose. My training in clinical psychology has provided me with many effective tools. I also bring to this work a depth psychology perspective, which means that I am very interested and attuned to the unconscious, including dreams. When appropriate, I try to introduce mindfulness to clients. Mindfulness is a non-judgmental approach that allows one to have deeper awareness and compassion with difficult emotions as they arise.

"...Return and dwell on green-backed Hawaii, A land discovered in the ocean, Risen up out of the waves, From the very depths of the sea, A piece of white coral left dry in the ocean..." —From the Paao and Pili-Kaaiea Legend Four journeys spanning six days take the journeyer through four distinct realms: ancient Hawaiian culture, cave, crater, forests, and natural pools. An eco-psychologically prescribed and guided path, each person is tasked with addressing core personality issues and dilemmas in the context of natural environments while utilizing natural forces and elements (earth, wind, fire, and water). The six-day, four-stage journey culminates in a celebration with a communally prepared feast of tropical fruits, fish, poi, and desserts. Music, dance, and storytelling complete the "hero's" journey.

Mind Change is a healing system utilizing the power of the mind/body system. It is a system designed to allow psychological stability by reprogramming the brain's mental patterns to impact our responses and behavior towards life positively. Mind Change operates with tangible physical mechanics backed by science. It is a collection of new cutting-edge techniques and processes that integrates the most effective elements of many modalities including, but not limited to, NLP, BSFF, EFT, EMDR, Neuroplasticity, Hypnosis, spiritual understanding, brain science, and the mind's great ability to transform itself. Mind Change is also used as a stress management system that can reduce and eliminate harmful physical and psychological effects of anxiety, depression, chronic pains, fears, phobias, and addictions. It addresses problems such as weight loss, self-esteem issues, grief, and loss, as well as addictions and chronic illness. Feeling stuck in the same patterns and problems?
