Jackie Kapua Tyler has been a massage practitioner since 1986 having received her training at Heida Brenneke School of Massage and at University of Washington for a Master Degree in Clinical Social Work. She has specialized in orthopedic(clinical) and Lomi Lomi massage, Hawaiian salt massage, hot stones massage, and hypnotherapy. As a licensed clinical social worker she has experience in counseling individuals and families dealing with end of life and chronic illness. Her combined expertise in clinical massage and pyschosocial skills provides for restorative and effective outcomes. Jackie is an instructor for Aloha School of Massage in Kahului and a continuing education provider. Jackie "Kapua" has been a student of Hawaiian cultural studies for over 20 years, having had the unique opportunities to have studied with revered Native Hawaiian elders.
